Your records are yours to copy whenever you like, for free. And if you build your business on live QR stickers, a Team plan lets those stickers carry your own web address, so the ones already out in your customers’ buildings keep working whatever happens to us.
A full backup of your records, free
Free on every plan
CREATE BACKUP ZIP packages the whole database on your phone and every photo saved on it into one ZIP file: equipment, parts, service history, PM schedules, work orders, invoices, all of it. Save the file to your phone, to Google Drive or iCloud Drive, or email it to yourself.
RESTORE FROM ZIP BACKUP, on the same screen, puts a backup back, on the same phone or a new one.
On Android you can also turn on a backup folder that the app copies your database and photos into. Point it at a Google Drive or OneDrive folder and the copy leaves the phone by itself.
None of this needs Pro. If you stop paying for Pro, your records stay on your phone and the backup keeps working. Cloud Backup, which keeps your records in the cloud and on the web dashboard, is the part that is Pro.
On the phone: Settings, then Backup & Restore. Under EXPORT & IMPORT, tap CREATE BACKUP ZIP.
Android backup folder: Settings, then Backup & Restore. Under LOCAL BACKUP, switch on Enable Local Device Backups and tap CHOOSE BACKUP FOLDER.
On a Team: the backup of everything the team shares belongs to the team owner. Members can still print reports, PDFs and QR sheets from any record.

On Team plans, for the team owner or a Manager
Every live QR sticker opens a web page: a unit’s specs and history, a part or a tool, a location’s page, a tenant door tag, a vendor sign-in sheet. Download my sticker pages saves a copy of every one of those pages, and of the visit reports you have sent to customers, with their photos, in one file.
The file opens on any computer with no app and no internet. Each page sits at the same address its sticker uses, so any website host that serves plain files can answer your stickers from it. It also has a spreadsheet listing every sticker: its address, what kind it is, the location, the unit or part, and when the page was last updated.
It is a copy of what the pages show on the day you download it. The saved pages cannot take new repair requests, vendor sign-ins or service reports. It carries only what the public pages already show: never your tenants’ names or contact details, and never your costs.
The file includes numbered steps for moving it: upload the folder to another website host, add your sticker address there, and swap the records at your domain company. After the move the pages are yours to keep up. Nothing updates them by itself, so whoever runs the new site edits a page, or a new system replaces it, at the same address. The spreadsheet is the map a new system needs to answer every sticker.
On the phone: Settings, then QR Codes & Stickers, then Your stickers, your address. The button is Share my sticker pages, which hands the file to Files, a drive or email.
On the web dashboard: Account Settings, under QR CODES & STICKERS, then Download my sticker pages.
Your stickers, your address
On Team plans, for the team owner or a Manager
Your live QR stickers open pages on equipment-tracker.com. On a Team plan they can use a web address your company owns instead, like tags.yourcompany.com. Day to day it points at us and nothing looks different to your customers.
You need your own domain and the sign-in for the company you bought it from, such as GoDaddy, Namecheap, Squarespace or Cloudflare. Pick a new address just for stickers, not your main website. When you save it, we connect it on our side, show you the records to add at your domain company and email them to you. We check it every 30 minutes and email you when it is working, or you can press Check.
Nothing changes on your stickers until it says Working. From then on, new stickers carry your address. Stickers you printed before still work, because both addresses show the same pages.
If you ever leave us, or we ever close, you point your address somewhere else, put your downloaded sticker pages there, and every sticker you printed with it keeps opening a page.
On the phone: Settings, then QR Codes & Stickers, then Your stickers, your address. Tick Before you start, type the address and tap Save address.
On the web dashboard: Account Settings, under QR CODES & STICKERS, then Your stickers, your address.
What happens to stickers you have already printed
On every plan
It depends on the kind of code, so here is each one.
- Text codes carry the details on the sticker itself. A phone camera reads them with no app, no signal and no website, so they keep working whatever happens to your account or to us.
- Live codes open a web page. They open it at the address printed in the code: equipment-tracker.com, or your own sticker address once it is working.
- A live code printed with your own address keeps working when you move, as long as your address points at a copy of your sticker pages. Codes printed before your address was working carry equipment-tracker.com.
- If you stop using your own address, or change it, codes printed with it stop opening our pages unless you point the address somewhere that answers them. We email you the records you can then remove. Ending your subscription does not disconnect your address by itself.
- If your Pro or Team plan ends, pages already published still open, but your new changes stop reaching them, and repair requests, vendor sign-ins and service reports sent from them stop going through until the plan is back on. Nothing needs reprinting when you start again.
- A tenant door tag that you replace stops working straight away, so a lost card cannot be used. The new tag opens the unit’s page.
Questions
Is the backup really free?
Yes. CREATE BACKUP ZIP in Settings, then Backup & Restore, is free on every plan, and so is restoring from one. On Android the backup folder is free too. Cloud Backup, which keeps your records in the cloud and on the web dashboard, is Pro.
Do I need a Team plan to keep my data?
No. Every account can make a full backup ZIP of its records and photos. The two sticker features, your own sticker address and Download my sticker pages, are part of the Team plans, because they exist for businesses with live stickers out in their customers’ buildings.
What do I need for my own sticker address?
A domain your company owns, like yourcompany.com, and the sign-in for the company you bought it from. You pick an address just for stickers, like tags.yourcompany.com, and add the records we show you and email you. It takes a few minutes, and nothing changes on your stickers until the check says Working.
Will my customers notice anything?
No. Day to day your address points at us, and the pages look the same. The only difference is the web address inside the code and printed under it.
What is in the sticker pages download?
A copy of every live sticker page with its photos, each at the same address its sticker opens, a page listing them all, a spreadsheet of every sticker, and a short note on putting the folder on a web host. It shows what the public pages already show, never tenants’ names or contact details and never costs.
Can the downloaded pages take repair requests or vendor sign-ins?
No. They are saved copies. They show each page as it was when you downloaded it, but they cannot send new repair requests, vendor sign-ins or service reports.
Who can set the address or download the pages?
The team owner or a Manager on a Team plan. Everyone on the team can see the address.
