Is there a free trial for the Pro plan?
Yes! All Pro plan subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. If you subscribe via the iOS App Store or Google Play Store, you will not be charged a single penny until your trial finishes, and you can cancel online at any time with one click.
What features are included in the Free tier?
Our free tier is genuinely unlimited and contains no ads. You can track unlimited buildings and equipment units, create relational replacement parts lists, log core maintenance tasks, track general spares, and use our 100% offline barcode & QR code scanner. Every account also starts with a trial balance of 10 free AI scans.
How do the 10 free AI scans work?
When you download Equipment Tracker Pro, we grant you 10 free AI credits. These credits are shared across our four AI tools: the Nameplate Scanner, Condition Assessment, Invoice Scanner, and conversational Diagnostics chat. Once these 10 free scans are used, core tracking remains 100% free, while upgrading to Pro unlocks unlimited scans.
How does per-user pricing work for teams?
Team plans start at $39.99/month for 5 seats — about $8/seat, cheaper per person than 5 separate monthly Solo subscriptions ($9.99/mo each). Need a bigger crew? Additional 5-seat blocks are $39.99/month each, up to 50 seats. No per-seat haggling, no enterprise sales call.
Does accessing the web dashboard require a Pro subscription?
Yes. The full web dashboard at equipment-tracker.com requires an active Pro subscription. The mobile app's free tier works entirely offline without a subscription. Pro unlocks real-time cloud sync, which is what powers the web dashboard, branded QR tags, PDF report generation, and multi-device access.
Do you need a Pro subscription to scan a printed QR tag?
No. Anyone can scan a Link Mode QR tag using just a standard phone camera — no app, no account, and no subscription needed. Scanning opens a public web page with the equipment's specs and service history. A Pro subscription is only required by the person generating and publishing the QR tags in the first place.
Can I export my data if I cancel?
Yes. Your data belongs to you. If you cancel Pro, your records remain fully accessible on your device and you can export a full local backup ZIP containing your buildings, units, parts inventories, and maintenance histories as CSV spreadsheets or ZIP folders at any time — even on the free tier. Only generating branded PDF reports requires an active Pro subscription.
